Each Tutorial will be limited to 30 participants on a first come first serve basis. Please note the prerequisites on the tutorial descriptions before notifying the presenters that you are interested in attending. Please contact the presenters via the email links in the Tutorial Descriptions below, to notify them of your interest in attending or if you have questions.

• Magnetic Structure Analysis from Neutron Powder Diffraction Data Using GSAS
• Neutron Scattering for Materials Study

Lodging

Pheasant Run is completely full for the Saturday night before ACNS2006, so those wishing to arrive Saturday night will need to stay at another hotel... This will be a problem for the tutorial attendees who will need to attend sessions Sunday morning.

You may be able to get a room at the La Quinta Inn near Argonne for Saturday night, June 17. The La Quinta’s address is 855 79th St., Willowbrook, IL. The phone number is 630-654-0077. Be sure to mention that you are with the Argonne group. If you need housing Saturday night and cannot get a room at the La Quinta Inn, contact Maria Heinig at (630)252-8755 for other arrangements.

We have arranged for a bus to take tutorial attendees from the La Quinta to Pheasant Run. The bus will depart at 8:00 am Sunday morning and should arrive at Pheasant Run about 8:45 am.

Driving directions to the La Quinta Inn: Take the Stevenson Expressway (I55) to exit 274 (Route 83, also called Kingery Highway). Take Route 83 north less than a quarter mile to Midway Drive, turn right and immediately turn right again at the Denny’s Restaurant. Continue on this road past the Holiday Inn to the La Quinta.
